I'm so sorry to hear this. I remember the three beautiful sisters sitting on the stoop across the street from where I lived on Lathrop avenue. Later on in life I've got to know them through Sandy and Rosie. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family this breaks my heart I'm so sorry. Rest in peace Nancy.

Nancy's warm smile is all you had to see, to know what a kind, caring person she was! A true joy to everyone she touched. I was a client of Nancy’s for over 30 years. She was my first professional haircut. She did my hair for my wedding. My mother and my sister were lifelong clients of hers as well. She was a wonderful woman, and I truly enjoyed her company. my prayers and condolences to all of you, she was a very special person.

My dear dear cousin Nancy. Nan and I shared a lifetime of memories that I will forever hold near and dear to my heart. It is difficult for me to put into words all that Nan meant to me. She was a loving and compassionate person, who always listened with her heart, a beautiful person who fiercely loved her family. Nan and I often talked about how fortunate we were to be born into our big loving Guerriero family. I will miss her more than words can express. Nancy was one of my dearest friends and a true Guardian Angel! She helped me traverse thru life holding me when I cried, scolding me when needed, and sharing my joys and sorrows yet NEVER judging me when my behaviors were... challenging!! She was caring, kind, talented, funny, smart, giving, honest and beautiful inside and out. Nan was all that and more to everyone! She touched her clients with her hands but even more so with her heart; listening and guiding and loving them all!!! She never had a lot of "things or money or stuff" but whatever she had she shared willingly with family and friends! Sharing herself .... love, encourgement and sage advice .... is how I will remember her. That is why to me she embodies the poem by Ralph Waldo Emerson: WHAT IS SUCCESS To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether bya healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breatherd easier because you have lived; This is to have succeeded.
