Obituary of Louise J. Baab
Louise J. Baab, a longtime Summit resident, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her children on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Overlook Hospital. She was 89.
Louise Jean Baab, née Terminiello, graduated from West Orange High School in 1951. In 1958 she married Peter Tonsor Baab, WOHS 1950. She was a homemaker who raised five children and had a typing business in Short Hills called, “Louise J. Baab Types Here”.
She is survived by her children: Wayne of PA; Yvonne of Essex Junction, VT; Brent of Gillette, NJ; Dhuanne of Montclair, NJ; Gwenda of Califon, NJ; grandson, Arlo, of Essex, VT; as well as niece Cindy Fritjofson and her family, and the Baab nieces, Pam, Katy, Suzy, and Ellen and their families. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter, and her brother Michael Terminiello, and his wife, Emma, of CT.
Louise enjoyed the theater and playing bridge with her husband and friends. She had played the piano from the age of nine and loved every minute of it. For a time, she played piano, weekly, at Cafe Beethoven in Chatham. She was a past member of Racquets Club, Short Hills; organized the original Guild at Papermill Playhouse and was active in the NJ State Opera Guild.
Louise was happiest when she was busy, and when spending time with close and extended family.
Services for Louise are being held privately for her family under the care of Madison Memorial Home.
