I’m quite saddened to learn about Jeff’s passing. I met him in 1995 in Los Angeles when we started a blues band. We practiced and practiced and finally had a big gig in Hollywood at a well known club. We had a huge amount of fun playing together for about 4 years. Jeff was extremely smart and creative. He taught me a huge amount about vintage guitars and amps - I knew nothing about these when we first met. I always remember driving all over LA in his red BMW convertible He was funny and we had some great times together. My condolences to his family.

Jeff was an amazing mentor and friend over the last decade. We started working together at Advance Local in New Orleans around the same time. Our marching orders were to build a team that never really existed before and help the company sell more digital advertising. He was usually calm and insightful and I was frequently neither of those things. I learned to rely on his wisdom and intuition over the last decade too many times to count. I miss him a lot.

We do not have the words to express how heartbroken we are for the tragic loss of our fearless leader, our boss, and our friend. Jeff created a strong and special team and we will continue to work hard and push ourselves to do the best we can in his honor. When we started working for Jeff he told us that he would take us to the edge of the cliff, he would dangle us over the cliff, but he would not let us fall and he never did. He truly cared about our team, he was selfless, he was strong and he was kind. We are forever thankful for our time with him, for his guidance, his protection and his love. Our heart goes out to his family and all that had the pleasure of knowing him. He loved his family and they brough out the best in him. Jeff, you will always be in our hearts! Are you happy? that was the question that Jeff always asked. His goal as a boss was having a happy team! We worked hard, but we also laughed. He was always so sincere and caring for our life outside of work. He was our mentor, a great leader and our friend. Thank you Jeff for the good years.
