My great aunt Helen, my grandfather’s youngest sister, and matriarch of the family house. Growing up as a kid, we would go to aunt Helen’s and uncle Warren’s, and there was always a group of family hanging out visiting. She was always willing to play hostess, she and her oldest sister Fran would feed us, and all my cousins and I would go swimming, so many fun memories, and family reunions! She’s was my last great auntie! She will be missed. I love you, aunt Helen, kisses!

My love goes out to all of you in this difficult time. Aunt Helen, now you can enjoy all the family who went before you, and we all know how much you loved family.
I have so many great memories of you, my Godmother, and the whole family at your house. Many people are not so blessed as having a family home where everyone gathered EVERY week at least. From Christmas Eve traditions to great Italian cooking and loads of cousins, your home was always welcoming and comfortable. Have a great reunion up there! Love Mickie

Dear Vanderzee family,
I am sending much love, thoughts, prayers and blessings to all! Storm and ME I wish I could be there with you in person, but I will be in Spirit!
I had the privilege of knowing Aunt Helen (and you all) through Roseann and the LaPorta side of the family. I have many great memories of family reunions, summer visits, and times like these as well......... a lot like my family too!! :) A little crazy, big family, loving, food and wine enthusiasts, and more.....!!
Peace Aunt Helen! Enjoy your reunion in heaven!!
Love, Christina and Phil from NY!!

My sincerest condolences to Aunt Helen’s family especially her two children Stormy and Maria Elena.
I didn’t have the opportunity to really get to know Aunt Helen though my memories of her lead to her warm smile, her love of family, and especially her kindness to others. Her nephew and my husband Jim Caskey spoke on many occasions of her being his favorite Aunt, and our daughter Andi adored her and looked forward to the wonderful family reunions she and Uncle Warren hosted at the house.
Aunt Helen, may you rest in peace and may we all meet again. God Speed. ♥️♥️♥️

My Dear Aunt Helen,
I have so many fond memories with you at your home, in Madison, New Jersey… Summer at the house was the highlight of my younger years.
You and Uncle Warren built a haven for our family to join for reunions. Your arms were always open to company and fun times. You didn’t need an invitation to go down the house, and in minutes, we would be at the kitchen table, watching you make the chicken cutlets….
Over the years, the family spread across the country and the connection stayed strong. We are a blessed family to have the background, the memories, and the family we share…
You will always be the “Baby” of that generation, and my "Favorite Aunt", Love from the California Girls….
❤️Smitty and Jones❤️

my condolences to Storm and Mev. I have great memories of Aunt Helen; from her early babysitting me, to all the great events in her back yard and to every Christmas Eve. I remember the best wedding when she and Uncle Warren got married, a true family Italian wedding. Her husband was a special uncle, RIP Aunt Helen and Uncle Warren. Carl
