Obituary of Lucy Ann Santucci
Lucy Ann Santucci (née Roscigno), a lifelong Madison resident, died peacefully at Morristown Medical Center after a short illness on Sunday, October 8, 2023. She recently celebrated her 90th birthday with her closest friends and family.
Lucy is survived by her son, Paul Santucci and his wife Antoinette of Far Hills; three grandchildren, Melissa Beatrice and her husband Alex, Kristine Rapport and her husband John & Matthew Santucci and his wife Emily; six great-grandchildren, Zander, Charlotte, Madison, Olivia, Claire & Hayden; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles Santucci in 2006; and her four siblings, Philip Roscigno, Michael Roscigno, Carmela Chiappa & Virginia Vitale.
Lucy was born on September 28, 1933 to the late Antonio and Caroline Roscigno. She was raised in Madison with her brothers and sisters and was a graduate of Bayley-Ellard High School.
Lucy married Charles Santucci and they settled in Madison.
Lucy was a woman of tremendous faith, praying the rosary frequently. She was a lifelong and very active parishioner of St. Vincent Martyr Church, attending mass and church events regularly.
Lucy’s family was everything to her. She was extremely proud of her grandchildren and was thrilled to become a great-grandmother.
Lucy had many lifelong friendships. She had kind, giving heart and possessed a natural ability to make everyone feel special. Lucy enjoyed reading and crocheting, making many items by hand for hospitalized children.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison.
Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. prior to a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent Martyr Church, 26 Green Village Road, Madison. Those who wish may attend the mass virtually by visiting www.svmnj.org
Interment will follow at St. Vincent’s Cemetery, Madison.
