William Parks, my dear close friend has passed and I miss him every day. We used to speak to each other almost every day. I miss our long chats.
I always tried to make him laugh, thought he was a little too serious, but when he did laugh, it just tickled my heart.
We spoke off many and varied subjects but it was always great. I miss those hours we spent on the phone laughing.
In the last few years we were unable to get together for a meal or just a visit, but I made sure that I visited him at least on the holidays.
The last few weeks of his life, I tried to contact him but we only spoke once for a short while. He said he was too tired and wanted to get to bed. It was my last conversation with him and I wish I had made him stay on the phone longer….
I miss him, and our talks, I suspect I always will.
