John and myself Sonja are so so sad to hear that such a great person who we spent so much time with in Connecticut has passed. The memories make us laugh. The news sure makes us think that life is precious and to live each day as if it’s a gift and it truly is a gift. I think of the five of us and I have to include Tuxedo I remember he liked the snow. Celeste you know you will always be my guardian ANGEL. The tears run down my face and is ruining my makeup but I don’t care because I have my John here holding my hand and I would like to think your John is behind his back giving him support

I was saddened to learn of John’s death so soon after my husband's passing in December. We were good friends on Cape Cod in our senior years. We spent many New Years Eves together with the Pekock's and MeNellises, and on the eve of Dec 31, 1999, we all went outdoors on Millenium Lane to listen to others celebrating. The next morning we drove to Nauset Light Beach to watch the first sunrise of 2000. This and numerous other activities added to our lives. We had many superb meals at John and Celeste's home in Wellfleet. John loved his red truck. He had a wonderful sense of humor. I miss seeing him and wish he and Jerry continue the fun in their new place. My love to Celeste and all the rest of John's family. Linda Gloo

My deepest condolences on John's passing. He was an indispensable member of the Lifeco team in Houston when we worked together, and later at American Express. John was an amazing colleague, not only for his invaluable contributions but also for the positive energy and humor he infused into every situation. His remarkable ability to navigate challenges with a joke and a smile left a lasting impression on all of us. He truly was an extraordinary person.
