Obituary of Patricia A. Asaro
Patricia Ann Asaro, a resident of Monroe Township, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 26, 2024 at St. Peter’s University Hospital. She was 79.
Patricia leaves behind her devoted children, Anthony and his wife Andrea, Patricia and her husband Joe; her twin sister, Rita; two younger sisters, Melaina and Sondra; cherished triplet grandchildren, Augustus, Adonis, and Ava; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Maria.
Patricia was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1944 and always remained a true Brooklynite at heart. She was extremely close to her mother, and with her three sisters shared an inseparable bond that could be felt by all around them. Patricia worked as a financial account manager in Manhattan, but her main joy was her family and she doted on her children and then later, her three treasured grandchildren. Well admired for her beautiful eyes, she had a warm and generous heart that reveled in taking care of everyone she loved, and the way she knew how to do that best was by cooking for them. The amount of love that she had for her family was as abundant as the amount of food she cooked and offered at her table. Her family fondly remembers her delicious food, especially her famous chicken and eggplant parmigiana and incomparable Sunday Sauce.
Patricia enjoyed music and dancing, especially Elvis Presley and Diana Ross and the Supremes, shopping, home decorating, and reading Danielle Steel novels. Her family will always remember the strong family values she instilled in them and will carry that with them for the rest of their lives. While she will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in knowing that she is at peace.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Patricia held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison.
Funeral services will begin at 9:00 AM at the funeral home on Thursday, August 1, 2024, followed by a 10:00 AM mass of Christian burial celebrated at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 111 South Street, New Providence.
Interment will be held privately.
