Obituary of Louis P. DeBiasse II

Louis P. DeBiasse II, a lifelong Madison resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 1, 2024. He was 93.

Louis leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years, Patricia DeBiasse (née Carella); his devoted children Louis DeBiasse III (Lynn), Christopher DeBiasse (Shade), Darren DeBiasse, and Denise Licari; four cherished grandchildren Jessica, Dylan, Dorothy, and Bruce; one brother, Richard DeBiasse; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis I and Madeline DeBiasse (née Sorrentino); two brothers Salvatore and Thomas; and two sisters Rose and Ann.

Louis was born in Madison on April 5, 1931. He graduated from St. Vincent’s School and Oratory Prep, then went on to obtain his undergraduate degree from The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. After college, Louis enlisted in the US Army, serving his country honorably at Fort Benning during the Korean War. During his time in the Army, Louis was appointed as a medic, which led to an interest in medicine. Ultimately, he decided to attend dental school at Fairleigh Dickenson University in Teaneck, after which he proudly opened his own dental practice in Madison.

Louis met his future wife, Patricia, through a mutual friend who attended the same dental school. The couple soon became inseparable and were married on October 6, 1962, remaining in Madison to raise their family.

Aside from dentistry and spending time with his family, Louis enjoyed staying physically fit at the gym and the Madison YMCA. He loved to sing and he loved music, so he was a long time season ticket holder at The Metropolitan Opera in New York City and the Papermill Playhouse in Millburn. He performed himself for many years with The Orpheus Club men’s choral group. He was involved in numerous real estate and construction projects locally and did quite a bit of traveling with his wife throughout the United States and abroad. The Carribean was a favorite destination of his, especially during the winter months. He kept close to his roots in Madison though, even serving as the President of the Madison Board of Health in later years.

His presence within his family will always be sorely missed, but they take great comfort in knowing he is at peace.

Services for Louis will be private.

In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made in Louis’ name to the Madison Volunteer Ambulance Corps, 29 Prospect St, Madison, NJ 07940.
