Jake was the kid you could go to for anything. He was the person I went to when I was at my lowest. I could talk to him for hours without fear of judgment. He was one of my best friends. It’s been truly an honor to have him in my life. He was the person to go to when you need a shoulder to cry on. He was always there when you needed someone, always a call or text away. He was one of the few reasons I looked forward to school. I’ll forever cherish the classes we had. Every lunch in the nurse’s office. The trip to New York. Bringing scottie over. Watching twilight. Making him watch my favorite Barbie movies while he completely destroys them. I’ll forever cherish every hangout, every laugh, every inside joke we had. I’ll forever cherish the Christmas Eve game. Every f1 race. I love you so much bud

Jake was one of the kindest souls to have ever entered my life. We had truly became friends in the fourth grade when we were sat next to each other, desk buddies. I remember playing card games and board games during our free time, I remember tag on the playground, all of the little things that made childhood truly free, he was there for. He was funny, loving, selfless, anything you could have ever asked of someone. Card games and recess turned into summer days and nights during middle school where we would play hide and seek with our friends and blast music that we would all scream to. We all will remember Jake for the amazing and true person that he was and the impact he made on all of our lives. Thank you Jake❤️

Jake was one of the nicest souls I ever had the pleasure of meeting and one of the best friends I’ve had the pleasure of having in this lifetime. From the day we met in eighth grade science class, I knew I had met such a rare gem of a human being. Looking back on the period of middle school/high school, Jake was there for all my highs and lows, supporting me through everything. Whether that was planning a surprise party for my 15th birthday, or knowing just the words to cheer me up, Jake was there, no questions asked. His house became a second home to me and my friends, with us constantly going crazy in the basement and watching the dumbest movies on Netflix or playing Just Dance. We used to brainstorm screenplay ideas together that I still and will continue to carry into my work today. Jake truly changed me for good. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know him during his short time on Earth, but his presence will still be felt around us, forever.

Jake was one of the brighest souls I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I consider myself indescribably lucky to have grown up side by side with him. When I look back on my childhood, from creating worlds and cities in Minecraft, to creating our own superhero universe, to memorizing the entire script of Disney's Teen Beach Movie, to pretending we were scientists when in actuality we were just making a mess with a bunch of water in his family's basement (still sorry about that), I find that Jake was by my side through almost all of my favorite moments. I am forever thankful to him and his family for being so welcoming to me, where I felt like an extension of the familly for a time. Jake was the best friend I could have asked for. The world won't be the same without him.

What a beautiful boy in so many ways. I will never forget his resilience and strength. A true inspiration. I enjoyed having him in my CCD class at SVM. I will miss seeing him at the YMCA and talking to him about his classes. You did everything you could for him. Now he is at peace with Jesus looking over all of you. Much love to family and friends.
