Obituary of Claire Barbara Renfrow

Claire “Barbara” Early Renfrow passed away on December 20, 2024 in Raleigh, NC.

Barbara was born and raised in Madison, NJ and received her degree from Virginia Intermont College. She devoted her life to her family and loved ones.

She was an avid reader and always enjoyed a good board game.

She is survived by one son, Thomas Chiancone; one daughter, Claire Chiancone; granddaughters, Kathleen Chiancone Barlow and her husband Micah Barlow, Allison Chiancone, Olivia Chiancone and Sophie Chiancone; and many grand furs; stepdaughter, Amy Renfrow Hartsfield and her husband Josep; stepsons, Kenon Dean Renfrow and his wife Beth, and Steven Wade Renfrow and his wife Lisa; step grandsons, Preston D. Renfrow and his wife Bekah, Alex Renfrow and his wife Casey; Andrew Hartsfield and his wife Allison; step granddaughters, Laurel Renfrow Thompson and her husband Philip, Hannah Renfrow Davis and her husband Kyle, Rachel Renfrow Allen and her husband Austin, Lydia Renfrow Knapp and her husband Hayden, and Ashley Hartsfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Claire Early; and husband, Kenneth Renfrow.

Funeral services for Barbara were held at the Renaissance Funeral Home, Raleigh, NC.

Interment will be held privately at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover.
