Obituary of Henry Bernard Bason

Henry Bernard Bason, Sr. AGE: 89 • Morristown Henry Bernard Bason Sr., of Morristown, died on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the Morristown Memorial Hospital , he was 89 years old. Mr. Bason was born in Greensboro, North Carolina, was raised there and then lived in Madison before moving to Morristown 55 years ago. Mr. Bason was a civil engineer for Picatinney Arsenal in Rockaway for 29 years retiring in 1981. Henry was a WWII Navy veteran who served in the Pacific Thearter. He graduated from ANT College in North Carolina, with a B.A. in civil engineering.. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Mary Louise (nee Denny), his daughter, Gail Bason, his grand daughter Chavon, his great grandson Dru and is survived by his children, Claretha Denny, H. Bernard Jr. and his wife Joy, Carolyn McCloskey and her husband Ed, Michael and his wife Cindi, Carla Bason, son-in-law, Raymond Bryant, 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service Monday, November 9, at 11am at the Somerset Hills Memorial Park , Basking Ridge with entombment to follow there. Visitation Sunday from 2-5pm at the Madison Memorial Home 159 Main St. Madison. In lieu of flowers donations to the Morristown Fire Dept in his memory would be appreciated.
