Obituary of Michael Chipoletti

Michael Chipoletti, Sr. AGE: 82 • Madison Michael (Chief) Chipoletti Sr., of Madison, died on Thursday , March 10, 2016 at the Morristown Memorial Hospital, he was 82 years old. Mr. Chipoletti was born in Morristown and lived all his life in Madison. Mike was the owner of Chippy's Deli in Madison, a business that was started by his parents , Joe and Rae in 1942 and remained in the Chipoletti family for many years. Prior to this Mike owned the Last Stop Tavern in Madison for many years. He was a Korean War veteran and member of the North Stars Club in Madison and the American Legion Post 43 of Madison/Florham Park. Mike is predeceased by his son Michael Chipoletti Jr. and is survived by his Wife Muriel (nee Hagensen), his children, Joseph and his wife Vikki, Anthony, John and 2 grandchildren, Alexandra and Anthony Jr. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service Monday, March 14, at 10:30am at the Madison Memorial Home 159 Main St. Madison with the burial to follow at the St. Vincents Cemetery, Madison. Visitaiton Sunday 2-5pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Wounded Warriors Project in his memory would be appreciated.
