Beloved wife and mother, teacher in Parsippany and repeat traveler to Italy, 83
The Roberts Family mourns the passing of Diana on April 11 at the age of 83. Friends may visit at the Madison Memorial Home in Madison, N.J., on Thursday, April 14, from 5 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Vincent Martyr Church in Madison at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 15. Predeceased by her parents, Sebastian and Assunta Accardo, Diana was born and raised in Newark, N.J., where she graduated from Barringer High School and earned a bachelor of arts degree from Montclair State University. Her years of teaching brought her great joy. Her career began in East Orange, N.J., at Vernon L. Davey Junior High School, where she taught for three years. After a hiatus of 15 years to be with her young family, she returned to her teaching career at Parsippany Hills High School where she taught for 23 years. Diana enjoyed traveling adventures with her husband and family and gatherings at LBI for many years. She and her husband returned to Ravello, Italy, numerous times, acknowledging that they had found "Paradise on Earth." She was the loving wife of 59 years of D. Joseph Roberts; the adoring mother of her children, Kevin and his wife, Izabella, Stephen and his wife, Teri, and Kathleen Keefe and her husband, Gerry, and loving grandmother of Sean and Tyler Roberts, and Kaitlin and Meghan Keefe.
