Obituary of John Pra

John J. Pra, age 77, passed away peacefully at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx on Saturday, June 17, 2017 after a long illness.
John was born in Jersey City and he was a life-long resident of Union City.

John was a very active parishioner of St. Joseph’s/St. Michael’s RC Church in Union City. He was also a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Club in Union City and The Friends of Emerson High School Club.

John earned his Bachelor’s degree from St. Peter’s University. John was a self-employed real estate broker and the owner of Comrex Realty in North Bergen for many years. He retired in 2016.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John Pra and Mary Pra nee Setteducato, and his two nephews, Michael and Edward Davis. He leaves behind two sisters, Marian Davis of Morristown and Catherine DiVincenzo of Manahawkin, and her husband Salvatore; one niece, Kathleen Davis of Lawrenceville; a grand-niece, Marissa Davis of Lawrenceville, several cousins; one great-grandniece and one great-grandnephew.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 12:15PM at Crest Haven Memorial Park, 750 Passaic Avenue, Clifton, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of the Madison Memorial Home.
