Obituary of Francis "Frank" Hilovsky
Francis "Frank" J. Hilovsky, of Madison, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Morristown Medical Center after a long illness. He was 86.
Born in Scranton, PA, Frank was raised in Far Rockaway Queens, NY. He was a long-time resident of New York, moving to Madison more recently. Frank served his country honorably in the US Army during the Korean War.
Frank earned his Bachelor's in Geology from Brooklyn College. He was employed by Texas Oil and Gas as a geologist for many years, before changing careers and becoming an employment placement specialist with the NY State Department of Labor. He retired 20 years ago and in his retirement Frank enjoyed bowling. He was a member of the Madison Plaza League.
Frank is survived by his brother and best friend, John J. Hilovsky of Madison; as well as many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 9:00AM to 10:30AM at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison, followed by an 11:00AM Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Vincent Martyr RC Church, Madison. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
