Obituary of Ion Ilie

Ion Ilie, of Lafayette, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Morristown Medical Center with his family by his side. He was 62. He was devoted to his family and will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Ion is survived by his beloved wife, Ioana Ilie of Lafayette; one daughter, Oana Boghian of Madison (Bogdan); two sisters in Romania, and two cherished grandchildren.

Ion was an accomplished electrical engineer with the Louis Berger Group in Morristown. He was talented in his field of work and well respected among his peers.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, October 16, 2017 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison.

A Devine Liturgy will be held at 12:00PM on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the Life Giving Fountain Romanian Orthodox Church, 132 Califon Road, Long Valley, NJ. Interment will be held after the funeral service in the cemetery on the grounds of the church.
