Obituary of Diane Applegate

Diane Applegate, a long-time Madison resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the age of 70.

Diane was born and raised in New York City, before moving to Madison where she and her beloved husband, William Applegate, settled and raised their family.

Diane will always be remembered for her big heart and opening up her home to many. A devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend, she was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by many.

Diane was preceded in death by her father, Roger Paulmeno, and her brother, Ted. She leaves behind her husband of  many years, William Applegate; her mother, Gina Paulmeno; two sons, Brian Applegate (Kristin) and Billy Applegate (his significant other, Jen); one daughter, Laurie Weber (Frank); one brother, Roger Paulmeno (Stephanie); two sisters, Patricia Schwarzlow (Bill) and Jacqueline Olsen (Edward). She was also blessed with four grandchildren, Sam, Joe, Evelyn, & Tori; many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and good friends.

Funeral services will begin at 9:00AM on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison, followed by a 10:00AM Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Vincent Martyr RC Church, Madison. Cremation will be held privately. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation from 2-4PM & 7-9PM on Monday at the funeral home.
