Dear Mitra, I am so deeply sorry to hear about Roger. I had the good fortune to know you both through classes at the Connection--especially Brains and Brawn and the Fitness Center. He added so much good spirit, happiness, and positive energy to the classes. Often, we had to take turns to do something new--but no one wanted to go first. He always helped us out and got things started. And made us laugh and feel comfortable. It was always wonderful to see the warmth and devotion between the two of you and hear of his pride in his family. So many of us will carry warm memories of him. Please accept my deepest condolences.
Sincerely,
Winnie Donahue

Iradj’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5: 28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope. https://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/wp20140101/

Dear Khaleh Mitra, Behin, and Bita,
I only had the honor of meeting Iradj once when I was very young but I wish I could have spent more time with him. When I met him as a young boy, he was incredibly kind to me on our trip to Las Vegas which has left me with very fond memories. My mother has spoken a great deal of kind words about him which gave me a brief glimpse at how amazing he must have been throughout his entire life. Please accept my condolences for Iradj's loss. His spirit lives on within his friends and family.
May his soul be blessed in heaven.
All of my love,
Eiraj Zandi

An honest man now lies at rest,
The friend of mankind, the friend of truth,
The friend of age, the guide of youth,
Few hearts like his, with virtue warmed,
Few heads with knowledge, so informed.
Gone is the face we loved so dear,
Silent is the voice we loved to hear,
Too far away for sight or speech,
But not too far for thought to reach,
Sweet to remember him who once was here,
And who though absent, is just as dear.
His charming ways and smiling face,
Are pleasure to recall,
He had a kindly word for each,
And passed away beloved by ALL.
بر روان همه درگذشتگان پارسا درود باد
پسر خال ايرج عزيز
روانت شاد و يادت همواره گرامى باد
تندرستى و ديرزيوى بازماندگان را از يزدان پاك خواستاريم

What an excruciating juncture the sudden loss of our role model Iraj Yektashenasindeed is. This is not only somber with melancholy for his most beloved family whom he loved immensely and was loved by them so very much but also for his community peers and friends both here in the diaspora and his beloved pilgrimage hometown of (I-)Yazd in Iran.
Our deepest condolences to his family as we all share your griefs. We long for the passing of healing time, which should allow us to more celebrate and cherish his happy lifelong commitment to humanity as a whole and to emulate a minuscule level of what he contributed therein.
Aspiring toward a closer and higher ascension to Faravahar, Iraj lived by inspiration from Ahura Mazda, aka the integration of light and wisdom; this is anchored on tenets Humata, Hukhta, Hvarshta, aka good thoughts, good words good deeds, aka Andisheh Nik, Goftar Nik, Kerdar Nik.

My deepest condolences to Mitra, Behin, Bita, John, Sohrab, and Liana.
He will be deeply missed but his memory, his passion for Iran and its literature and culture, his dedication to the Zoroastrian community and to IZA, his big heart, his kindness, his generosity, and his sense of humor will always be remembered.

To my dearest friend Iradj, you made my life so much brighter and fuller with your words of advice, your friendship and setting a great example of what life is about and not just practicing the Zoroaster faith but living it everyday. Three principlals you demonstrated, I took to heart that they were more than what I read in history books. Good Words (Goftare Nik) never heard a bad word from you ever, even though, I have known you for over 20 years. Good Deeds (Kerdare Nik) you were there for me and everyone, you were there to help never said no to any requests by anyone. Good Thoughts (Pendare Nik) Your actions always showed that Good Thoughts was always your driving force.
Now you are standing proud meeting Ahora Mazda. I wish you happiness and joy, as you brought into our lives. May he keep you safe in his arms and bless you forever. May you be happy and in Peace.
My he give Peace and courage to your beloved Mitra and your daughters Bita and Behin. My love and prayers are with you and Iradj for always.
