Obituary of Joan J. Isseroli
Joan J. Isseroli, of Florham Park, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was 88.
Joan was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Isseroli; her three sisters, Teresa “Chick” Garafano, Vivian Conte & Rita Masiello. She leaves behind her loving daughter, Leslie D’Ascoli and her husband, Fred of Madison; two cherished grandsons, Drew & Craig D’Ascoli.
Joan was born in Mt. Vernon, NY on April 21, 1930 to the late John and Elizabeth Amoruso. She was raised in the Bronx, where she would eventually settle with her family before moving to New Rochelle in 1974. Joan moved to Florham Park in 2007 to be closer to her family, especially to her grandsons.
Before retiring, Joan was a retail sales associate with Talner, Fine Jewelry & Giftware of New Rochelle. She took great pride in her work and enjoyed the friendships she formed with her coworkers. Joan enjoyed drawing and painting in watercolors. She was an excellent cook, skilled at sewing and her most cherished time was spent with her family. Joan will be fondly remembered by family and friends for her kindness, sense of humor and good heart. She will be deeply missed by all that loved and knew her.
A memorial visitation to celebrate Joan’s life will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 2:00PM to 6:00PM at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison, with a memorial service beginning 4:30PM led by Rev. Msgr. George Hundt. Cremation will be held privately at the family’s request.
