Obituary of Frank Burrini
Frank Burrini, of Delray Beach, FL (formerly of Madison), died peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family on Sunday, March 17, 2019, just a day after his 96th birthday.
Frank was born in Philadelphia on March 16, 1923 to the late Giuseppe and Giovanni Burrini. He honorably served in the US Coast Guard during WWII. After the war he settled in Madison with his wife, the late Marie V. Burrini, where the couple raised their family.
Frank was the owner the Clinton Market in Newark, prior to purchasing Luciano’s Market, a specialty meat store in Madison, which he operated for many years. Frank moved to Florida after retiring. He enjoyed the sun, warm weather and weekly trips to the penny arcade where he spent many fun-filled days playing games and talking with friends. He loved life, appreciated & loved his family and was very proud of his service to his country. Frank will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Frank was predeceased by his wife, Marie V. Burrini (nee Carhuff) in 2006; and his daughters, Marie Burrini in 1969 & Joanna Mancuso in 2014. He is survived by his two sons, Frank Burrini, Jr. (Suzanne Burrini) & Jesse Burrini (Donna Virgilio), one brother, Jesse Burrini, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a visitation to celebrate Frank’s life on Thursday, March 21, 2019 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison, followed by an 11:00AM funeral service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
