Obituary of Mary M. Kelly
Mary Margaret Kelly (nee Wolfe), of Florham Park, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the age of 94, after a long illness.
Mary was born and raised in Dover. She was a graduate of Dover High School and Drake Business College. Mary and her beloved husband, the late Francis “Kyler” K. Kelly, settled in Dover where they spent many joy-filled years with their beloved daughters and extended family.
Mary was a secretary with the Newark Insurance Company for several years, prior to focusing her energy towards caring for her family.
She and her husband were very involved parishioners of Sacred Heart Church in Dover. Mary was a member of the Sacred Heart Columbiette’s, the women’s chapter of the Knights of Columbus. She was an active member of the Sacred Heart Leisure Club and the National Association for Retired Federal Employees, and organization that her late husband, Kyler, was also very involved with.
Mary was an avid sports fan and loved the NY Yankees, She enjoyed both college basketball & football. A devoted mother, sister, and friend, Mary was deeply loved and her warm hearted nature will be greatly missed.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Barbara Kelly of Chatham Twp. & Kathleen Underwood and her husband, Brian of Florham Park; one brother, Thomas Wolfe and his wife, Thelma of East Hanover.
Funeral services will begin at 9:00AM on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison, followed by a 10:00AM Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Vincent Martyr RC Church, Madison. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation to celebrate Mary’s from 3:00PM to 6:00PM on Friday at the funeral home.
