Obituary of Kristina N. Carrubba

Kristina Nicole Carrubba, a longtime Readington resident, went home to the Lord on August 24, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with addiction. She was 31.

Kristina was born on December 12, 1987 in Summit. She grew up a happy spirited child with a love for her family and friends. When Kristina was young it was evident that she was a bright light, full of life and happiness. She was beautiful both inside and out and was the apple of her mother’s eye.

Kristina had a tremendous heart and magnetic personality that lit up a room upon entering it. She had a special gift for making everyone feel good through her good nature and spontaneity. She loved music, dancing and her Dallas Cowboys.

Kristina was a longtime resident of Readington. She worked as a manager for All Home Care, a home improvement company in Bound Brook and previously a team leader at Wegmans in Bridgewater.

Kristina loved her two sons, Aiden and William more than anything. She loved to spend time with them at the pool, park, or playing sports with them, especially basketball. Kristina also loved to take her sons to the beach and go on the amusement park rides at the boardwalk. She was proud that she was able to pass down her dancing skills to her two boys and nephew, Noah.

Kristina did her best, she will be forever loved and missed. She will remain in the hearts of her sons, her entire family and all those who loved her.

Kristina was predeceased by her grandfather, Palmer Joseph Ferrara Jr, and her aunt, Patricia Ferrara. She is survived by two sons, who were the light of her life, Aiden James Fecso & William Harold LaRue; her mother, Diane Lynn Ferrara-Simonetti and her husband, Jerry of Forks Twp., PA; her father, Michael Carrubba of East Hanover; her grandmother, Anna Marie Ferrara of Chatham; sister, Ashley Pennucci and her fiancé, Tommy Seal of Clinton Twp.; brother, Alexandre Gerling of Forks Twp., PA; sister, Rebecca Carrubba of Morristown; sister, Rachel Carrubba of Morristown; step-brother, Ryan Simonetti and his wife, Lisa of Tribeca, NY; her two uncles, Palmer Joseph Ferrara III of Warren & Richard Ferrara and his wife, Gina of Chatham Twp.; she shares her son, Aiden with his father, Adam Fecso & her son, William with his father, Bill LaRue; her significant other, Rob Lavornia of Bound Brook and several cousins and many good friends.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at St. Vincent Martyr RC Church, Madison. Interment will be held privately for the family. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation to celebrate Kristina’s life on Friday, August 30, 2019 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison, NJ.
