To the Family of Carmen Alonso,
I am so so sad to learn of Carmen's passing and illness. My condolences to the entire family.
I worked with Carmen in the early 1990s when we were employed with May Department Stores. She had a photograph on her desk of herself with her sisters. At the time, she had expressed to me her interest in interior decorating. I am so happy that she ended up pursuing this interest and having become so successful. She was nice and kind to me and included me in her circle. She was a very special person, very intelligent, full of life and beautiful. I was enriched as a human being by knowing her. I am blessed her path crossed mine. I feel sorrow that she is no longer among us. Que Dios la tenga en su Gloria.

Carmen did so many projects together as her designer and me her architect. From years we became family and spent lots of time together. Every second is cherished and truly enriched my life. I love her as my sister and miss her every day. She was a special soul who blessed every one of us in her life. Carmen I love you!

My heart is breaking for you all. Carmen was a beautiful, kind and wonderfully authentic and vibrant person. I am blessed to have spent a hugely fun night with Carmen in Manly, Australia and the energy from that night is still sitting within me. That was Carmen. A radiant energy. For my beautiful friend Dora, I send you all my love. Xxx

I remember those Disney characters on the walls of our playroom, Raul. It no doubt sparked Carmen’s creative spirit from a very young age. Her joie de vivre, talents, intelligence and generosity were amongst her hallmarks. I will forever remember my big sis this way. She left her mark on me. I deeply appreciate the love and support family and friends are showing our family during this difficult time.

She was a beautiful and talented little girl and grew into a very professioanal and intelligent woman. A smile was always on her face and I had the pleasure of looking at her delight when I painted a Disney scene at their home in East Orange. The Alonsos were blessed by an all girl crew at home ,and neighbors, friends and family loved this extraordinary christian family that had no bounds to grow, enjoy each other and be good to others. We will miss Carmen María, her smile and her generosity in loving others. As an angel, Carmen María will continue to love, protect and pray for all of us.We all were very lucky to share some of her life. God bless Cuco, Carmen, and the beautiful family they created in the land that became our own many years ago. Olga and Raúl.
