Marylyn and I have known the Marshalls since the late 1960's when we were both members of Deer Lake. Bill was president of the Board of Governors of Deer Lake in 1978 when I joined the Board and got involved with the varioujs committees. From then to 1992, we got to know the Marshalls better; but neither Bill nor I knew that we we had a shared history of playing the violin. Somehow the subject came up in one of our meetings in 1992. Since then, we continued getting to together to play violin duets during the winter months for the next 20 years. Each session was about 2 hours long with Mary Ann joining us on the piano with her considerable talents during the second hour. It was a fun time during those retirement years with many good memories of making music. Ron Straight
