Marie was a warm and wise person, dedicated to her family, work and interests, and so talented in her advocacy. She was always a wonderful role model. I will think of her often. Our entire family sends you all our most heartfelt condolences.

Marie ( “big Marie” ) Susan, “little Marie” Pat. And I were classmates at Catherine McAuley high school. We all saw each other for the first time in 55 years two weeks ago on zoom. Marie was the backbone of our group. She was funny, loving, and feisty. So proud to know her again after all those years and so sad to lose her so quickly.

Dearest Fornaro's,
I adored Marie. She was my partner in drug and alcohol prevention for 25 years, I have struggled this week, as I know you have. For me, it was that we lost that spark - .that feisty, strong spirit! Unsurmountable. They used the word "Champion" in an article. I said to myself - that is the best word ever for Marie. I feel so grateful to have had Marie's friendship. I know I will see her again. I know she will help all of us from heaven. I know she loved her family beyond anything I have ever seen. Another word, I would say fits perfectly is" Generous." Generous in time, energy, support and talent. Marie shared everything with the world. Every ounce in her fought to save people from drugs and alcohol. Everything to keep children safe. Everything to keep kids in healthy activities and out of the juvenile system. I honor her life. I know you will carry Marie's legacy on. I love you as my family. My family is so sad. We are so sorry for this huge loss.
I will miss her sparkling eyes and all the laughter we shared. Marie made my life a gigantic adventure!

I knew Marie for many, many years, mainly through her long time membership in the Morris County Chapter of the National Organization for Women (MC NOW). We would run into one another at various events over the years, always working for women's rights and many other causes. I could count on seeing her smiling face at the annual Morristown Fall Festival, staffing the League of Women Voters' booth.
I always associated Marie with the League and wasn't aware of all her achievements and her work in so many other areas until I read her obituary. Her sudden death is certainly a shock and a terrible tragedy. The world has lost a true shining light. I know she will be deeply missed. My sincere condolences to her family.

I only met Marie once but was impressed with her passion and commitment - she is the friend sister and mother I wish I was and the grandmother I hope to be someday. She leaves a beautiful legacy.

Our deepest condolences to the Fornaro Family. Marie was someone we respected and liked because of that she did for the Morris School District, https://madisonmemorialhome.com/5/Grief-Resources.htmlspecifically for Morristown High School. It was obvious that Marie always put the kids first and worked hard to ensure they had a positive academic and athletic experience. The district and community was very fortunate to have such a dedicated supporter and Board of Education member. Thank you Marie for all your hard work! Rest in peace.

As a former Morris School District Boatd President, I have many memories of Marie sitting in the audience in the back row patiently waiting to approach the board and ask us to fund her latest charitable endeavor. She would wait until 2 AM if need be, but always being last in the room. She once told me that she knew we would honor her request because we were worn out and just wanted to go home. We gave her the funding 100% of the time! She always put children first in everything she did in life. God Bless Marie and thanks...Gene Hale

My dear friend, Marie,
we met on our first day of high school at McAuley; and we connected immediately. And remained friends all these years. I remember your spunk and your smile so clearly. We were 5 strong those years -- Pat, Margie, 'little' Marie, you and me.
I know I can speak for Margie and 'little' Marie on how much fun it was to have our Zoom call. We were truly blessed to see you and reminisce and laugh one last time. It warmed my heart.
My prayers are with your family during this difficult time. You will be missed.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Fornaro and Mosera family. My fondest memory of Marie is the first day I met her. I had just met Rita. Rita's daughter Rhiannon and my daughter Dani were just 3. I walked by Rita's house and saw Marie in backyard with Rhiannon. I thought she was Rita so I went back to say hi. She was so friendly and had a beautiful smile. We talked as the girls played.

I fondly remember Marie's love for the students and her support for the educators in the Morris School District. I taught French and Italian in the district for many years and I recall the personal assistance she provided for me.
Marie always worked enthusiastically, helping where she could on programs benefitting the students in all disciplines.
Marie's family will remain in my thoughts and prayers.
