So sorry to hear of your loss! Mr. Pepe and I started on the CCM board the same year. I was a student representative and he always was professional, kind, and thoughtful in all his decision making and his demeanor. I am praying for him and your whole family during this time.

Back in October 2019, Mr. Pepe phoned me, as he was actively/hands on looking to fill a trustee position for Norwescap. Just on the phone, his warmth, humbleness, enthusiasm and an indescribable high vibrating energy about him was captivating! We scheduled that first meeting in the library of my alma mater, CCM as a convenient location. Little did I know, I was meeting such a significant and appreciated leader of my community. While we were briefly there, staff and others would warmly greet him, as if he were there everyday! From that initial interaction until recently, before his passing His communications remained of the same high quality in commitment, selflessness, and fervor despite what his physical body, mind and heart we’re going through <3 . His acquaintance is one that left an impression of example, leadership, encouragement, respect and dignity.......similar to that of a father one looks up to at home and in the community! May his family find peace and comfort from his absence! The love and compassion that he was able to integrate makes his Legacy eternal.

Tom was a wonderful colleague on the NORWESCAP board. He was smart, witty and a consummate gentleman. Even before I read the details of his life, I knew that he was a "giver" with a compassionate heart. We became board members at about the same time, and I feel blessed that our paths crossed in this life.My sincere condolences to his family and large circle of friends and colleagues.

It's always so sad when a vibrant person with so much left to give, is taken from us all to soon. I enjoyed working on the Norwescap board with Tom and still had so much to learn from him. May his memory forever be for a blessing.

On Wednesday, April 21, Norwescap lost its great friend, leader, and biggest advocate, Tom Pepe. Tom had a zest for life and filled every room he was in with humor and warmth. As Norwescap’s Board Chair, he guided the organization through one of the most difficult challenges that any organization must deal with, leadership transition. While many bigger and well-known organizations have failed in their transition efforts, through Tom’s guidance and leadership the organization not only survived but thrived through this difficult process. Despite battling with cancer over the last year, Tom still attended meetings, and advocated for Norwescap, he truly loved the organization and everything we stand for.
Tom became like a big brother to me. We talked weekly and sometime in between if I had a particular issue to deal with. His advice was always spot on. He pushed me to think through my decisions and make sure my ducks were in a row, but was always supportive even if he didn’t agree. I have worked with several Board Chairs (and been one too) but he was absolutely brilliant in that position, and I have learned a ton from him.
He will be sorely missed, but the legacy he leaves behind for Norwescap will forever continue to guide us. We are all lucky to have had him in our lives.

I find it difficult to put my memories of Tom into words since only by knowing him could I appreciate all of his exceptional qualities, but intrepid is one that comes to mind. Tom became more like a brother to me during our association, thus almost a personal loss. Ann and I send our sympathies to Donna, Jonathan, Christopher, and the Pepe and Procia families. Missing you bro.
