To the Smith & Cox families, and to all of the relatives, and those mourning the loss of Mr. Curtis Baten, our deepest sympathies are with you. May God strengthen and comfort you. Weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning. We pray for the peace that only Jesus Christ can give, which passes all understanding, and that your fond memories, will always bring you happy moments of joy and laughter.
We are with you in Spirit.

I'll miss my neighbor, relative. When I needed someone to talk to I had Ann & Curtis, they were right there. The jokes Curtis told were unbelievable. He made you "Smile" all the time But most of all, I will miss him "picking" at me and watching over me and everyone that came to my house, like I was one of his siblings.
My prayers are with you. Just remember that he truly loved each one of his princesses. May God continue to Bless and Watch over you.

My sympathy to Curtis' family. Curtis was a fixture in Madison when I was growing up. I remember he had a souped up pickup truck with his name on it. We as youngsters always admired it. Curtis was always so nice and would answer our questions about it. He was a good man. Rest in peace Curtis. God bless.

I remember Curtis always being around town. I remember playing pick-up football behind Central Ave school with him and others. He use to say I threw the ball like Joe Natham (no, I didn't mis-spell it, that's how he pronounced it!) :)
Rest in Peace Curtis. You were a good guy in my book.
