I wondered why I hadn't received a Christmas card from Marie. Marie and I were teachers in the Livingston school district. In retirement we kept in touch in our Christmas cards. She possessed a wonderful and dry sense of humor sprinkled with wit. She could keep a straight face through the humor, and made those less familiar with her style to consider her distant. But those of us in her inner circle, she was a treat. Marie spoke her mind, as well. She never held back, but she was always dedicated to her profession, direct with administrators, and loved by her students. When they come upon her obituary, I'm certain they will speak fondly of their "Ms. I". 12/21/2022
