Obituary of Linda M. Sampson

Today, August 15, 2022, Linda Martin Sampson went home to be with her husband, son, and her God. She was 84.  

Linda was born in Anderson, SC on November 29, 1937, to the late Coleman and Anna Mary Martin.

An independent woman and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Linda was a world traveler, world class slot machine aficionado, accomplished bowler, and tennis enthusiast. Linda loved collecting Hummel figurines and had a spoon collection from every state and country she visited while travelling.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Sampson, Jr.; her son Kevin Martin Sampson; and her five siblings Cory, Marilee, Estelle, and William. She is survived by her two children Steven Craig Sampson and Kimberly Ann Vogt; four grandchildren Adam Sampson, Jenna Sampson, Kirsten Vogt, and Michael Vogt; and her five great-grandchildren Jack Sampson, Olin Sampson, Juno Ritchie, Tilda Ritchie, and Remi Ritchie.

Funeral services are being held privately for Linda’s family under the care of Madison Memorial Home.
