Saying goodbye is not easy to do Especially to someone as special as you To all who knew you you were a star Your love unconditional and loyalty above par Always reaching out to anyone in need As a friend you were a true rare breed Always the giver you did with a smile Never the taker that wasn't your style A fierce defender of the bullied and shamed Standing your ground you didn't play games For those who dared to cross your path With ill intent would know your wrath But those who chose to walk with you Would find a love they'd never knew For Alexandra Fiddes knew no other way Than to give her all each and every day To the friends and family you now leave behind I ask that they, too, will do so in kind To honor and carry your spirit each day So you may live on never going away Dear Alex I'll miss you Lord knows I will cry I'll see you in the next life but for now I say goodbye

Here are some of Alex’s favorite pictures - the ones she framed and still talked about decades later because these moments meant so much to her. Me too. Alex was super funny, whip smart and loyal as hell. She was one of my best friends. This loss is too profound for me to comprehend.

Alex was a close friend with my wife Kelly.. that's how I met her..Alex was my daughter Sophia rose's fairy godmother...we only trusted Alex to babysit...she was more than a friend to our family...I believe Alex to be an honest and humble person who's faith saved her.. she has given me hope and I will never forget her honest kindness towards everyone...she died with grace and dignity and I will never forget her...

From the day we met I knew you were a one of a kind soul. You always knew exactly what to say and what I needed to hear. I will forever cherish and hold near to me our conversations and great times. You are a remarkable woman. While I will miss you every day I am so thankful that God allowed me the blessing of calling you my friend and you will forever be my “sister from another mister.” I love you so much! Alexandera. You once said "I may be tiny but I'm strong!" You always stood up always fought the good fight and you had the most awesome amazing laugh. And I'll never forget your eye rolls and your exasperated "oh geez". You may have been a little lady but you were as bright as the sun. The world is darker without you. Shame you never got a chance to skydive but I'll look for you in the clouds the next time I'm up.

Ryleigh and I love you so much. You did and always will hold a special place in my heart. God puts people in our lives for a reason and he knew what he was doing when he put you in mine. Alex and I shared a special bond. A cousin bond across the miles. We wrote to each other as kids and as we grew older our friendship changed. We talked about our relationships. Our wishes. Our wants and goals. She kept me laughing when days were tough with her late night messages and funny videos. She sent me care packages of my favourite lip balm only found in the US of A and beautifully written letters that I will treasure forever. We shared FaceTime calls where she met my daughter and we’ve cried tears of joy and tears of everything in between. Her HUGE heart and laughter will be so very missed.
