Obituary of Helen M. Ciriello
Helen Marie Ciriello, a longtime Madison resident, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the age of 93.
Helen is survived by her goddaughter, Carolyn Rega and her husband Angelo of East Hanover; and many loving friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Anthony J. Ciriello.
Helen was born in Brooklyn on July 3, 1929 to the late John and Josephine Skrypko. She was raised by her aunt, who was a 3rd Order Nun at the College of St. Elizabeth in Convent Station who instilled the importance of faith in her from a young age.
Helen was a longtime Madison resident, living briefly in Florida and Lakewood before moving back. She took great pride in her home and was well known by family and friends for the immaculate upkeep of her house. Helen loved to crochet and made many beautiful items over the years.
Helen had a long career as a line supervisor at Ciba Geigy Pharmaceuticals in Summit before retiring many years ago.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM on Friday, December 9, 2022 at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison followed by a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial held at St. Vincent Martyr Church, 26 Green Village Road, Madison.
Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions in Helen’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
