Alison, I was so sorry to hear about Ged's death. Speaking as someone who probably voted for you in the office comp in Spring Gardens, Ged had a major impact on my life, introducing me to Danish Delights, Yates Wine Lodge, the delights of Staley Bridge and other important experiences in life. Ged had a great sense of humour and a gentle manner and he and you have provided Pauline and I with many happy memories over the years.
We totally confused our daughter, Lydia, when she met your son, who was teaching English in Thailand. When she came back home and we asked how did it go, she said, but he is American! Of course he will be, as a lot of water has passed under the bridge since we last met, but many thanks to both of you for lots of fun filled memories. We will continue to think of you and Ged.
