A friend and I were talking of the people we knew when we were teens and Peter's name came up. They had played ball together and attended functions at St. A's, and I had been with them at both. I remember Peter as tall, dark, and handsome, a perfect gentleman. I remember my friend and I visiting at his parents' Bensonhurst home. I met him again quite unexpectedly 5 years later in downtown Manhattan, both of us on our way to work. We spoke for a bit; both of us had married, Peter had a child, and my husband and I were leaving for California. And now 66 more years have gone by and I read of his passing. Sincere condolences to you, his dear family, from a very old friend who knew your father/grandfather as a boy and was sure he would be a very good man.

Peter’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5:28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope.

Anna Maria, Frank and the entire Polizzano and McKenna families:
On behalf of my father, brothers, their wives and families I want to tell you that we are deeply sorry for the passing of your father, Peter. We know what kind of friends and people you all are. He was so fortunate to have you as family, and by his side. Your deep loss is Heaven's gain. I know he is already giving everyone advice up there, like he did with us when we were at Seton Hall and WSOU. I will always remember hanging out with your entire family in Upper Montclair when we first met, including your dad. May God's relentless love and grace surround you all at this time.
With love, the Santollas

Dear Debra and family,
We are remembering all of you in prayer. In times like these, there’s so much we don’t understand... So all that’s really left is to hold on tight to the One who does. Praying His strength, care, and love will be clearly evident to you all. Our sincerest condolences.

It is with tremendous sympathy that Anita and I mourn the passing of our dear friend Peter. Our friendship goes back over 60 years sharing many memorable times and occasions. Peter was an independent thinker with great energy. He remained thoughtful and dedicated to his family and his friends.
His memory will long continue with us.

Peter and I have been brothers for over 60 years since we became members of the Omega Delta Phi Fraternity at Brooklyn College. We have been friends throughout the years, including meeting at once a year for the past 15 years here in Florida. On February 17, my wife, Rose Marie, Fred Pitone (who is another fraternity member with the same longevity) and his wife, Louise, and I had our last luncheon with Peter in St. Petersburg.
Peter was good looking, intelligent, and an excellent athlete with great social skills. Unfortunately, He suffered during the last two years as his body slowly deteriorated. He and his political views will be truly missed. We all will feel the sorrow his family's loss.

My deepest sympathy to the entire family for your loss. I know that no words can help ease the pain and loss that you are feeling right now. May our loving Father give the entire family sustenance and strength you need to continue cope with the loss of your loved one. May you find comfort in your precious memories and love shared. May the words of 1 Peter 5:7 “while you throw all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you” bring the entire family comfort and strength. Please accept my sincere condolences.
