Obituary of Sian Burvill
Sian Burvill, a resident of Summit, NJ, died peacefully after a sudden illness on July 16, 2019 at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in NYC. She was 50.
Sian was born in Cardiff, Wales in the UK on July 8, 1969. She earned her bachelor’s degree from York University in the UK.
Sian lived in London UK for many years with her beloved husband of 25 years, Martin Stephen Burvill, and their children, prior to their relocation to Summit in 2012.
Sian was a wonderful mother and wife to her four children and Martin. She was an active organizer of great social events of all kinds: family, friends, and children’s sporting occasions. She was always there to help others in need and to have fun.
Sian was loved for her tremendously warm and generous personality. She lit up every room she entered and enriched the lives of everyone she met; her wonderful smile and infectious laugh were her trademarks. Sian loved entertaining and hosting friends and family. She treasured all her friends from all over the world and would do anything for them. Sian adored travel and had only recently returned from a wonderful family holiday in Hong Kong and Vietnam. She often visited her family and friends in the UK and loved spending time at the Burvill long-term vacation home in the south of Spain. She had only just celebrated her 50th birthday with friends visiting from the UK. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sian was predeceased by her father, David Howell Williams. She is survived by her mother, Jennifer Williams of the UK; her beloved husband, Martin Stephen Burvill of Summit; her two sons, Samuel David Christopher Burvill of Summit & Adam Martin Patrick Burvill of Vancouver; two daughters, Laura Alexandra Charlotte Burvill of Summit & Emma Samantha Burvill of London UK; one brother, Richard Williams of the UK; one sister Catrin Russ of the UK; and many dear friends throughout the world.
