Obituary of Rachel M. Paynter

Rachel (Ray) Mei Paynter, of Madison NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Morristown Medical Center at the age of 25.

Rachel was born in Huazhou City, Guangdong Province, China on January 13, 1996, and was adopted by her loving parents Frank Paynter and the late Donna Marie Minetti. She grew up in Annandale, NJ and attended North Hunterdon Regional High School until she relocated to Madison, NJ in 2012 where she graduated from Madison High School in 2014.

Rachel’s passion in life was her love for animals, especially dogs. This passion led her to establish her own business, Dogs Play Ruff, where she facilitated all aspects of care for dogs including sitting, walking and day care. She also loved photography and would take special pictures of her canine clients; she was captivated with tarot cards and the study of astrology. She also enjoyed collecting crystals.

Rachel had an immense fighting spirit and battled many health issues her entire life, but always remained positive, optimistic, and joyful. Her warm, compassionate heart and beautiful smile will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. When you think of my daughter, celebrate her life and the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest. Cherish every moment you have with your loved ones. 

Rachel was predeceased by her mother, Donna Marie Minetti, in June of this year. She is survived by her beloved father, Frank Paynter of Stewartsville, NJ; her uncle Sam Minetti of Madison, NJ; her grandparents Frank and Fran Paynter of Tarpon Springs, FL; as well as her aunts, uncles, cousins, and all her dear friends. 

Services for Rachel are being held privately for her family under the care of the Madison Memorial Home.
