My sincere condolences to Joe's family.
Joe and us infantrymen certainly had fun times in the 5th/117 CAV (LRSD) and the 150 INF (LRS) of the NJ Army National Guard. Great times, great memories, of a great man. Thanks Joe! See you when I see you.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Joe. I had the pleasure to meet him and the family several times when I lived on Ivanhoe Path. Joe was always playing with the kids outside or teaching them new things. Tyler and Sam were in the same grade and were friends throughout high school. My heart goes out to you Megan,Sam,Grace and JoJo. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Where do I begin? My cousin, my friend, my police academy classmate and my inspiration. I was and still am devastated to hear of your passing, we played football from 10 year olds through high school. We graduated HS together and then you went to serve our country in the Corps and I went to County College. Our paths met once again when your military career was over and we went into the 32nd Basic Police Class and became police officers together in the town we grew up in. It was a blast until you told me you were leaving the department to continue your career in Wall Township. That was a bummer but I knew the person your were and that you would excel in anything you did, and that’s exactly what you did. Joe, your squared away personality and your sense of humor really resonate with me and I will never forget you. We lost you down here but heaven gained a great guardian, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I am proud to say that Joe Gisoldi was my cousin. He was no ordinary human being. He was a man of conviction, a man of integrity and had a heart bigger than the sky. He had strong values and beliefs and he was a true role model. There was no question that he was dedicated to whatever he was passionate about…school, the armed forces, work, religion, recreational activities, the shore, and yes, even food… but his deepest love and passion was for his family…. His parents, his three sisters , aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors and friends…It was also no secret that ,undoubtedly, his greatest accomplishments were the loves of his life, his wife Megan and his three children… Sam, Grace, and Joe.He had such a contagious smile on his face ,
but when you mentioned one of those four names, his face lit up with pride and joy.
Joe, you may have left this earth, but,” little cousin,” you will remain in my heart FOREVER! It is not in death, but in life and in the extraordinary way that you lived it,that I choose to remember you … with a smile on my face, I love you and want to thank you for making this world a more beautiful place!
May you rest in heaven, in the arms of our Lord. Thanks…
I finally know the answer to the question we always asked one another,
“Do you know where you are?” I know where you are … you will be up there ,forever in the spot that was reserved for you in heaven!!! Miss you already cuz! Godspeed! XOXO

So sorry for the loss of Joey. I lived next door to his family from 1976 to 2003 - the greatest neighbors anyone could ever have. He is all you say he was and I am blessed to have known the Gisoldi family. Too many stories to share but Joey will be missed by all who had the honor to know him. Gone too soon.

I had the honor of working with Joe at CSX. Far too often the terms "gentleman" and "cop's cop" get overused. In Joe's case they are an understatement. He was a class act and positively impacted many fellow cops during his time "on the job". As St. Peter welcomes Joe into Heaven and St. Michael the Archangel shows him around, I pray our Lord holds Joe's family in His arms and fills them with all His comfort and blessings. Rest in peace brother.

I am so very sorry to hear this news. I met Joe many years ago while I was a member of Wall First Aid and Rescue and Joe was a Wall police officer. He was always so kind, caring and professional. I then taught his boys in 8th grade-what wonderful young men they were! A true testament to his mom and dad. Megan, Sam, Grace and Jojo, I am so very sorry. May the beautiful memories you share bring you peace at this very difficult time.

Joe was hired as a Police Officer in Madison much later in my career. I remember Joe as an honest hardworking police office who worked hard for the citizens of Madison. He came to work with a visual energy and a smile on his face everyday with a straight forward honest effort. I remember when he became engaged to Megan, my neighbor up the street, and realized how lucky the two of them were to have each other. As I read his obituary, it is clear, that he took the life that God gave him, identified the gift that was given to him and made it his purpose to give that gift away to humanity. He was a soul who was lost too early and my sympathies to his family.

I had the honor to be Joe’s teammate on the CSXPD Rapid Response Team. We joined at the team at the same time and spent every deployment as partners. Joe was a professional warrior. He loved sharing his knowledge with others and making a difference in the law enforcement community. He’d always bust my chops about my Air Force service, as we all know the Marines and Army are way more cooler. No matter how much we deployed and traveled he would always make sure and ask how my family was doing and make sure things were good with my family life. He was so proud of his family and loved them with all of his heart.
I’m broken, but will make sure he has a proper and honorable send off to Heaven. I love you brother. Rest easy we’ll take it from here.

I first met Joe at Airborne school in 1991. We stood diagonally from each other in formation. Fast forward 5 years and I am in the locker room at Wall PD and see him. We both recognized each other right away and started catching up on the last few years. Small world. I can't believe he is gone; such a shock. Very few serve in green and blue, but Joe did both. I salute you my friend and wish you safe travels as you ascend. God Bless.

Joe, when I first met you were the most squared away guy. A Marine , a cops cop, Your professionalism it was honor to work with. Always there when I need you. More so a friend. When I retired we spoke once about our kids. Telling stories especially about my youngest James antics, you said the apple don’t fall from tree. How true. I hope you found peace. I will never forget you. You earned your wings Blue Angel, now fly. Your with greatness now. God
