Obituary of Joseph M. Gisoldi
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Joseph Gisoldi. Joe passed away on May 11, 2022 at the age of 56.
Joe was born in Summit, New Jersey on March 19, 1966 to the late Samuel and Louise Gisoldi. Joe graduated from Madison High School and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Upon completion of his active-duty commission, Joe joined the law enforcement community working for Madison Police Department, Wall Police Department (retired) and most recently CSX Railroad Police. While working full-time and raising his family, Joe obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from Seton Hall University and his Master’s Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. During his law enforcement career, he continued to proudly serve the nation in the U.S Army Reserves.
Joe was passionate and committed to everything and everyone he held close to heart, and that heart of his was a big one. He loved to be surrounded by family and friends, to listen to and share stories, to laugh and make others laugh. He was a light and comfort in a room. He will surely be remembered as a dedicated, loyal, hardworking, funny, and joyful son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend.
Joe also loved the outdoors immensely. He enjoyed spending his time at Sea Girt or Manasquan beach and in Vermont. He enjoyed skiing, scuba diving, exploring nature with his children, traveling with his family, walking his dog, Mumford, and of course, landscaping and maintaining his yard.
Above all, Joe’s biggest passion in his life was his family. He was a loving and devoted husband of 23 years to Megan and proud father to his three children Sam, Grace & Jojo. The pride and love he held for his wife and children is nearly inexpressible. He was dedicated and exceptional at all the roles he sought to fulfill in his life, but he was most exceptional at being a husband and father.
Joe is predeceased by his father and mother, Samuel and Louise Gisoldi. He is survived by his loving sisters, Anne Marie Gisoldi, Lou Ann Puglise (Frank), and Linda Palermo (Dave); and his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in-laws, cousins, and dear friends.
